Meditate Your Way into Happy

Are you in a bad mood? Are you feeling anxious or blue?  Don’t beat yourself up.  We’re all in that head space from time to time.

Ya know what’s cool though?  … You don’t have to stay there.

Here is one way to escape your negative mood and reset your mind to happy.

5 Minute Happiness Meditation

Sit or lay down in a comfortable position

 Close your eyes

Take a deep breath in and hold it for 3 seconds, then release slowly – do this for 3 full breaths

Begin to clear you mind of clutter as you continue to breathe deeply and do the following:

 Using either hand or both…

Touch your pointer finger to your thumb and say “I”

Touch your middle finger to your thumb and say “am”

Touch your ring finger to your thumb and say “the”

Touch your pinkie finger to your thumb and say “light”

Repeat this again while breathing deeply, but change the word “light” to “love”

Do it again, except this time change the word “love” to “peace”

(You can do this as many times as you want)

After finishing the above sequence, say the following aloud…

“I create my own happiness”

“Today I choose to be happy”

“Today I choose to let go of anything that stands in the way of my inner peace therefore inhibiting my happiness”

“Today I will radiate happiness”

“Today I will radiate light”

“Today I will radiate love”

“Today I will radiate peace”

Take a deep breath in and hold it for 3 seconds, then release slowly – do this for 3 more full breaths

Allow your lips to curl into a smile

Congratulate yourself on setting positive intentions

As you open your eyes bring awareness to the blessings you have in your life

Feel the gratitude

Begin your day fresh.

Meditation is a practice I use often to ease anxiety and bring awareness to my life.  It has brought me great joy and I know it will for you, as well.

As always, I wish you LIGHT & LOVE & PEACE,

Sincerely,

Jaclyn Steele
