I have accepted Alex Beadon’s Feel Good Blogging Challenge! (Heck yes, I did!) The following text is Day One’s assignment:
1.
My name is Jaclyn and I am a musician, dreamer, blogger, entrepreneur, spiritual-seeker, and humanitarian. I strive to follow my muse – always.
I am also a vegetarian, so I fancy myself quite the hummus enthusiast. Two years ago, I said goodbye to the corporate world to pursue a career in music and the arts. So far, it has been a beautiful, tangled, brimming-with-adventure series of character refining opportunities for which I am deeply grateful. I use the lessons I’ve learned along the way to fuel the content of my blog… as well as fashion, recipes, books, dreams, and all the other things I find fascinating.
I feel responsible for the insight I have gained and want to share it with the world, hoping others find it useful. I am a perpetual spiritual seeker, avid yoga practice-er, and self-diagnosed book addict. I am intensely curious, so I ask heaps of questions. I have 2 goals: To make beautiful music, and to be a source of light and love to all beings. Oh, and to have so much fun everyday my face hurts from smiling!
2.
I started blogging because I feel deeply led to share the things I find inspirational and that are good for me, and the pieces of wisdom I am learning along my journey. I very much believe that, “to whom much is given, much is required,” – and I want to freely give what I have to offer and a blog has seemed like the best format to do so.
I also wanted to create a space for people to get to know me on a deeper level. As a musician and songwriter, I want to give people the opportunity to see who I really am – where the music is coming from and what I find to be my muses. I hope to inspire others and encourage them to follow their own dreams.
In addition, I find blogging to be really fun…
3.
I would like to attract music lovers, dreamers, and spiritual seekers to my blog. I want to provide a creative space where people feel “fed” musically, inspirationally, and spiritually. That said, I know that is not an easy task because that is a LARGE demographic… maybe I need to fine-tune a bit.
Bottom line: I would like to be a beaming source of light to humanity through my blog – where people leave feeling like their ears are satisfied, their hearts are encouraged, and their spirits are enlightened.
I loved your post and am excited you are on this journey 🙂 congrats on your new website and I can’t wait to see it go live!
