For me, when it comes to jewelry – especially fine jewelry like the pieces Brilliant Earth offers – I want to know that what I’m wearing has not caused anyone any suffering. I don’t like the juxtaposition of knowing that something so beautiful has caused such ugliness for someone unnecessarily so someone else in power can profit greatly. I also want to know that the diamonds I’m wearing have been through the highest levels of testing for ethical practices. You know what I mean?
Additionally, Brilliant Earth also strives to use 100% recycled precious metals to diminish the negative impacts of metal mining. (Precious metals can be recycled repeatedly without compromising their integrity, so this means that Brilliant Earth’s jewelry is also sustainable).
